Quite some time ago, a person came to the AJJ subreddit over on Reddit with the idea of putting together an album of fan-submitted covers.

Sadly, like the Mountain Goats tribute before it, this project fell through. However, not wanting a tribute such as this to remain unrealised, I took it upon myself to once again salvage this idea and ensure that fans allowed their musical talent to be heard as they performed the songs of the group that they love.

Like many of the fans who submitted their work to this project, I have been a huge fan of AJJ for many years now, with the group’s music becoming an immensely important aspect of my life.

From the band’s early work to their latest release, their music has remained as vital as ever, and has only seen them gain more and more popularity as time goes on, allowing more and more people to share in these tunes that have brought us together.

Considering how many people shared their talent in the making of this compilation, I hope to make this the first of many tributes to this wonderful group. Keep an eye on the AJJ subreddit, and you’ll be sure to see me putting together more of this in the future. So if you missed out this time around, I hope to hear from you next time!
